The Internet has had such an impact on world media that even movies are beginning to stream online while music has already embraced the World Wide Web. In fact, it is every marketing and salesperson's dream to have the chance to garner a potential audience of millions to visit and interact with your site.
To us, the audience are the most important people to convince of your worth as a filmmaker. If they approve of you, it makes you a worthwhile investment for any producer or studio exec who is observing the trends, likes and dislikes of the audience.
Imagine having your short movie viewed by the mass of web surfers out there, who then vote for you or any of the 20 other selected shorts that are being shown that month.
